About Me

My name is Cameron Panjabi, and I'm an undergraduate student at Montana State University in Bozeman studying geography and GIS. I grew up in Colorado, hiking, camping, and snowboarding, so when it was time to choose where to study, it wasn't hard to pick Bozeman. Montana felt like a natural next step, and the mountains here have become both my backyard and my classroom.

My work sits at an intersection of spatial analysis, environmental systems, and storytelling. I've used GIS to model landslide risk, investigate the economic development, map renewable energy development, analyze wildfire, and assess vegetation health in the mountains right outside my back door. Each project has pushed me to think not just about the data, but about the people and space behind it.

I'm currently finishing my bachelor’s degree and looking ahead to opportunities where I can keep doing work that matters. I’ve recently accepted an opportunity with the Gallatin Valley Land Trust, working to map trail accessibility and improve the county-wide GIS database systems. I hope to continue using maps and spatial thinking to help communities, land managers, and decision makers understand the world a little better. If that sounds like something you'd want to collaborate on, I am always looking for collaborations or general conversation.
